Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of TaskBill.io, a time tracking, project, client, and invoicing service operated by Hosting Playground Inc. By creating an account, accepting an invitation, connecting an integration, or otherwise using TaskBill.io, you agree to these terms.

1. Who may use TaskBill.io

You must be able to form a binding contract and use the service for business or professional purposes. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, including your name, email address, account details, billing information, company information, client records, tax settings, and invoice settings.

2. Accounts and teams

TaskBill.io supports account owners, invited team members, roles, permissions, project access controls, and personal login credentials. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping passwords, two-factor authentication codes, OAuth connections, API tokens, and invited-user access secure. If you administer an account for a company or client, you represent that you have authority to manage that account and the data in it.

3. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the business content you enter or import into TaskBill.io, including projects, tasks, time logs, notes, customer records, invoice details, tax rates, logos, and integration data. You grant Hosting Playground Inc permission to host, process, transmit, back up, display, and use that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, improve, and operate TaskBill.io.

You are responsible for making sure your content is lawful, accurate, and appropriate for your business. Do not upload or transmit content that violates someone else's rights, contains malicious code, or is unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or harmful.

4. Time tracking, invoicing, and payments

TaskBill.io provides tools for estimating work, tracking time, calculating billable and internal amounts, creating invoices, recording payments, and syncing selected invoice data with connected services. These tools are for operational convenience. You remain responsible for reviewing invoices, taxes, rates, balances, payment status, and accounting entries before sending them to customers or relying on them for financial, legal, or tax purposes.

Payment processing, subscriptions, card handling, and some invoice payment features may be provided through third-party processors such as Stripe, PayPal, QuickBooks, or similar services. Their terms and policies apply to their services. TaskBill.io does not guarantee that a customer will pay an invoice or that imported financial data is complete.

5. Integrations

TaskBill.io may connect with services such as Asana, Basecamp, Trello, monday.com, QuickBooks, Stripe, PayPal, email providers, and other business tools. When you connect an integration, you authorize TaskBill.io to access, import, sync, update, and store data from that service as needed for the features you enable. You are responsible for complying with the third-party service's rules and for disconnecting integrations you no longer want to use.

Integrations depend on third-party availability and APIs. We may change, suspend, or remove an integration if the third-party service changes, becomes unavailable, creates security or compliance concerns, or is no longer commercially practical to support.

6. Subscriptions, trials, and plan limits

Some features are subject to plan limits, trials, subscriptions, lifetime deal codes, user limits, client limits, project limits, or payment status. Fees are billed according to the plan or offer you select. Unless a checkout flow or written agreement says otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may update plan names, pricing, limits, and features for future billing periods by providing reasonable notice.

7. Acceptable use

You may not misuse TaskBill.io. This includes attempting to break security controls, access another account without permission, interfere with service operations, scrape or resell the service, send spam, abuse invoice email features, upload malware, overload the system, reverse engineer non-public code, or use the service in a way that violates applicable law.

8. Service changes and availability

We work to keep TaskBill.io reliable, but no online service is available at all times. We may change features, perform maintenance, suspend risky activity, or stop providing the service or a feature. We are not responsible for losses caused by downtime, third-party failures, sync delays, email delivery issues, or data you enter incorrectly.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using TaskBill.io at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create security risk, infringe rights, or use the service unlawfully. After termination, we may retain certain records as needed for backups, billing, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and legitimate business operations.

10. Disclaimers

TaskBill.io is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hosting Playground Inc disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free operation. TaskBill.io is not legal, tax, accounting, payroll, or financial advice.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hosting Playground Inc will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or the cost of substitute services. Our total liability for any claim relating to TaskBill.io will not exceed the amounts you paid to us for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice through the service or by email. Continued use of TaskBill.io after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
